The ring worn by Ciel Phantomhive in the popular animae/manga "Kuroshitsuji". Handcarved and cast in sterling silver with a faceted glass "stone". Commissions are open for this beautiful ring. Perfect for cosplay.
Do you have any pictures of the sides? One thing I've been doing while looking for a ring is comparing them to a picture from the manga and most don't make the cut because the sides are all wrong or the "diamond" is the wrong way. This one is the nicest I found and that is real silver is a plus (I'm allergic to cheap metals) but if the sides match the manga (and the anime since people think there are two versions and there isn't) I will be saving up for this.
Okay, I finally got it off my daughter's finger long enough to take a picture of the side, (should have polished it first but I didn't think she would let me keep it that long. Let me know what you think...and thanks for your patience.
i'm really interested in buying one of these rings - so beautiful!
can you give me a little more information about it, such as its sturdiness and whatnot? i love sterling silver, but i'm a little worried about the glass stone, since i'd wear it daily, not just for a few hours at a con every couple of months. i don't work in a factory or do construction work or anything, but i do lift moderately heavy things at work fairly often, and wash my hands several times a day. as an artist, i also handle solvents and whatnot, and i usually just leave my jewelry on all the time. i guess what i'm saying is i'm kind of hard on my rings. can this one take that kind of daily stress?
The best recommendation I can give you is that the original was made for my VERY active 15 y.o. daughter, who wears it constantly, and has been for the last 10 months. She hasn't managed to hurt it yet, and not for want of trying. The stone is glued in so the entire back of it is covered in epoxy. I don't believe you could hurt it without hurting your hands as well, though I couldn't swear to that. The original has been put through the washer and dryer, it's been polished, it's seen 3 cons, about a thousand dance rehearsals, survived feeding and watering 9 cats a day, washing cars, cleaning and painting her room and helping friends move with the requisite packing, unpacking and wrestling matches. I think you're probably safe. Let us know if you would like one. We no longer have a mold for this one, so we will have to carve a wax original, then make a mold to cast it, so it will take a few weeks but just say when. Glad you like it and thanks for the look in.
seriously, hook me up with Paypal info and you'll have the down payment in the next 15 minutes. i've been searching for a good Phantomhive ring for YEARS, and all i've ever found is cheap Chinese junk that has zero "silver" plating left after about six hours and turns my finger green. i gotta have sturdy rings, and sterling silver is all i wear if i can help it, so this is exactly what i need.
after measuring a few different ways, it looks like my knuckle is 2 5/16" around, which is a 9. my current Phantomhive Hong Kong Special is a 9 and a little too big, but my knuckle is considerably bigger than the base of my thumb (2 3/16"), so i guess it'll have to be a bit big anyway. hittin' up Paypal right now.
If you're interested, the way we work this is we like to have you pay half up front, (we prefer PayPal), and give us your ring size, (thumb size in this case, I assume). We will make up the ring and then let you know when it's finished, (usually about two weeks). At that point you send the final payment and we send your ring. Our youngest loves Kuroshitsuji and copper is all she was finding so Mikel made her one. That's how all this started. Let us know.
That's the lighting, I'm afraid. It's actually sterling silver and is a very shiny, bright silver colour, as you would imagine. Our youngest wouldn't have it any other way. She is very fond of...."Shiny!", usually followed by drooling.
